We celebrate the many different cultures and people who live with us. We think a lot about how to bring people together in safe and happy ways.

We celebrate the many different cultures and people who live with us. We think a lot about how to bring people together in safe and happy ways.

From urban gardening to functional design, we aim to give back to the community and bring the people who live with us together. We honestly believe that nothing brings people together like a great cup of coffee, and what better way to do this with an on-site Plato Coffee shop for our residents. Not only is this one of Plato’s finest shops, but it is also their 50th store.

Amidst the tough times brought on by COVID-19, Stephan and Petrus Bredell took a leap of faith and started Platō Coffee in Irene, Pretoria, from a simple container. Their entrepreneurial spirit is truly impressive, making them not only business inspirations but also cherished friends to everyone who knows them.

Platō Coffee’s journey from that small container four years ago to a booming coffee empire is a real South African success story. Having their 50th store open at Volley Brooklyn is an incredible privilege for us and a daily reminder that nothing is impossible if you put your mind to it.

Here’s to the next 50 stores and the ongoing success of Platō Coffee. Cheers to the Bredell brothers and the entire Platō Coffee team!
